Hello!
We’re Mik and Jess, the founders of Brindle & Bowties.
We’re best friends from law school who established a deep bond over our obsession with dogs.
Through our transition to “real life,” and through supporting each other on the journey of gaining (and losing) some of our most precious fur babies, we’ve become extremely passionate about sharing the joy, companionship, and love that our four-legged family members have brought into our lives.
Our passion (to put it lightly) for dogs started at a very early age…We’re talking childhoods filled with design sketches of dog rescue housing, homemade binders detailing how to care for a dog, and creased and bookmarked pages of dog breed books from hours upon hours spent contemplating which types of pups we’d own someday!
With a whole crew of dogs between us, and each of us now finding our forever homes, we both wanted our personal interior design to reflect what really makes a house a home: the tail-wagging, butt-wiggle, and wet-kiss greetings at the door; Friday night wine and couch snuggles; and endless games of squeaky toy fetch. The problem? Dog home décor was hard to find, and the available options out there never seemed to match the atmosphere and aesthetics of our homes!
So what do you do when you can’t find décor that you both love looking at and also feels like ‘you’?
You create it!
At least that’s what we did – and after hearing other human friends with the same decorating dilemma, we thought why not share what we’ve created for others to enjoy in their homes as well?!
We’re just a couple of dog people looking to spread the love experienced between us humans and our dogs in a meaningful way.
We know that next to your pup, your home is your pride and joy.
